Greenwood
| My
name is Daniel Perry Greenwood. I was born on August 1st,
1975 in Charleston, South Carolina. I still consider it
my second hometown. I currently live in good ole St. Paul,
Minnesota. My dad once said that the road begins in Oregon
and ends in Ohio. I like to look at life that way. I do
like Minnesota and South Carolina, but the bronze metal
most certainly goes to Iowa. My home and my birthplace
lie in the far north and the deep south, yet my true passion
lies in the land of corn. I once made cheese in Iowa.
I watched the most down to earth guy show me how to get
turkeys to call back when you goggle at them. Iowa is
the land of agriculture. I've never met someone from Iowa
that I didn't like. My great aunt is buried in Des Moines
and my grandparents used to live there. God bless my great
aunt. She had the courage to go to Brazil and make my
family part Brazilian. That's pretty gosh darn cool of
her to do that. Most of my Brazilian relatives live in
Miami nowadays though. But getting back to Iowa, I, Daniel
Perry Greenwood, do hereby soundly swear that I am a current
member for life of the Iowegian Cafeteria Cottage Cheese
Coalition or more bluntly put, the ICCCC. We are a private,
non profit (not unlike Earthology Records) organization
based in Melville, Iowa at Alfonzo's depot liquor store.
Our mission is to promote Iowegian culture and heritage
through the luctrative trades of cottage cheese, cafeterias,
elevator music, YMCA swimming pools and triple x movies
and hourly rates. When I'm not working tirelessly for
the ICCCC, I play the drums for my favorite band, Cloud
Cult! |
